The asphalt laborer position is a critical member of the paving team as we work to build better communities. Here are some of the things you will do: 

  • Rake and shovel asphalt 
  • Help equipment operators facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of the machines, equipment, and materials. 
  • Measure, mark and record openings and distances to lay out areas where construction will be performed. 
  • Dump windrows from belly and double belly trucks. 
  • Prep construction site, and clean area to eliminate possible hazards.

  • Understanding of asphalt paving procedures 
  • Ability to learn. 
  • Great work ethic. 
  • High energy. We work a lot of long hours in a day, and your high energy will keep you going with the rest of your team. 
  • The ability to stand for long periods, work in the heat, bend, lift, and other physical activities. 
  • Someone who likes working outdoors.
