Job Summary:

Sunroc Corporation is seeking a capable and driven Asphalt Prep and Paving Foreman that has experience reading project plans, running a grade crew and operating heavy equipment such as grader, track hoes, backhoes, loaders, skid steers, etc. while adhering to Sunroc's operational and safety standards.

Duties:

• Organize and supervise a grade crew
• Assist with pre-paving planning on paving passes, mix type, compaction effort, trucking and lift thickness
• Able to read and understand project plans
• Good communication skills for working with owners/project managers
• Communicate trucking needs, quantity and quality of mix and quality of paving job.

Qualifications:

• At least one year of experience as a Paving Crew Supervisor
• Strong working knowledge regarding the operation, safety and maintenance of equipment in use
• Ability to safely operate equipment in the presence of field crew and utilities ensuring the safety of all persons, equipment, property and utilities in the area
• Valid drivers license and clean MVR
• CDL a plus
• Ability to work long hours and move at least 50 lbs. on a routine basis
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Able to promote and work in an effective team environment
