FUNCTION: The intern position is primarily responsible for assisting project managers in designated assignments and learning more about the construction industry through experience.

KEY ACTIVITIES:

1. Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values
2. Assist project managers to plan and review quantity takeoffs, set up project estimates, field measurement for budgeting and billing, pick-up plans and specifications, as well as traffic control Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings.
3. Assist with daily business duties, including, preparing material price quotes, sampling and preparing submittal information for projects, coordinating logistics with customer orders, perform Viewpoint data entry
4. Input job data into estimating software.
5. Learn about the construction industry through assisting managers.
6. Track supply quantities for billing purposes.
7. Maintain an insurable driving record.
8. Ensure a safe and healthful work environment
9. Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

1. Intermediate knowledge of construction industry
2. Good public relations and communication skills
3. Good organizational skills
4. Ability to work under pressure, deal with budgets, and tight project schedules

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Currently enrolled in Bachelor of Science degree program studying construction management or civil engineering.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Ability to lift 50 pounds
